How to Get the Free Fortnite Dodger Sidekick?

You can only receive the Dodger Fortnite Sidekick for free if you have the original Dodger pet back bling from Chapter 1 Season 8 Battle Pass. The Dodger pet was available at Level 52 of the Season 8 Battle Pass and could only be obtained through the premium path. Now, players can get Dodger as a fully-fledged Sidekick that follows you and reacts to your eliminations.

Steps you can follow to get the Fortnite Dodger Sidekick for free:

  • Launch Fortnite with an account that has the original Dodger back bling.
  • After logging in, you should automatically receive a notification for the Sidekick.
  • If you don’t see the notification, go to your locker and filter your collection by Sidekicks. Then, you should find the Dodger Sidekick in your inventory.

Once the Sidekick is in your inventory, you can select and customize it, and then equip it. This will give you a brand new friend for your Battle Royale or LEGO Fortnite matches. Since the Fortnite Dodger Sidekick is free for all previous owners, you don't need to complete weekly tasks or event challenges to unlock it.

If you do not have the Dodger pet through the Battle Pass, you are not eligible for the free Sidekick. However, you can purchase the Dodger Sidekick later in the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.
