Wuthering Waves Hiyuki Kit

Hiyuki's kit in Wuthering Waves is based on two forms. The entire gameplay experience revolves around switching between the two forms and building up power before unleashing a high-scale Resonance Liberation. Here’s everything you need to know about the kit.

Hiyuki Kit Description

  • Scaling: Like a normal DPS character, Hiyuki scales off ATK.
  • Role: Glacio DPS
  • Current Self (Normal State): This is the state Hiyuki starts in when entering the field. It accumulates Forte Gauge Dedication by using Normal Attacks and Resonance Skills. When Dedication is full, enhanced Heavy Attack and Resonance Liberation can be used. Using enhanced Resonance Liberation transforms Hiyuki into the Forclaimed Self state.
  • Forclaimed Self (Transformed State): In the Forclaimed Self state, Hiyuki regains Forte Gauge Frostheart whenever Normal Attacks or Resonance Skills hit a target. With sufficient Forte Gauge stacks, it allows entering the Iai Stance. Pressing Normal Attack in Iai Stance deals base attack Iai damage, which can negate incoming damage with quick slashes.
  • Iai Stance Description: Each time you use Basic Attack – Iai, you generate a Whiteout Bitterfrost stack. When you reach three stacks, you can gain a Snowforged Blade stack by using Heavy Attack – Bitterfrost in Forclaimed form. These Snowforged Blade stacks can be spent to increase Resonance Liberation (Blade Liberation) damage. If not used immediately, they do not go to waste; they continue to accumulate and remain available for later uses.
  • Glacio Effects: Applies Glacio Chafe and Glacio Bite to enemies, deals additional damage, and triggers effects like Frostbind.
  • Off-Field Buffs: Provides a general Glacio damage buff to the team even if not present in the team.

Hiyuki Skills and Forte

SkillDetails
Basic Attack – Current SelfPerforms 3 consecutive strikes by holding or clicking Normal Attack, dealing Glacio DMG. The 3rd strike applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe.
Heavy Attack – Frost Splinter: Current SelfCan be used when Dedication reaches 300. Fires 3 consecutive arrows by holding Normal Attack (consumes STA), dealing Glacio DMG counted as Resonance Liberation DMG. Hiyuki is not interrupted during this attack. After the last arrow is fired, all Dedication is consumed and Foreclaiming: Inward Vision becomes available. Each arrow applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe.
Aerial Attack – Current SelfPerforms a diving attack from the air, dealing Glacio DMG and consuming STA.
Escape Counter – Current SelfAfter a successful Escape, performs a counterattack by holding Normal Attack and deals Glacio DMG. Pressing Normal Attack again within a short time triggers Basic Attack Stage 3 directly.
Basic Attack – Forclaimed SelfIn Forclaimed Self state, Current Self attacks are modified. Performs 5 consecutive strikes dealing Glacio DMG counted as Resonance Liberation DMG. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th strikes each apply 1 stack of Glacio Chafe.
Heavy Attack – Forclaimed SelfEnters Hold Breath by holding Normal Attack, continuously consuming STA. Releasing or running out of STA performs a forward thrust dealing Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). After use, holding Normal Attack transitions to Stage 2. If Hiyuki is hit during the thrust, damage is negated, nearby enemies are staggered, is not interrupted, and does not take damage for a short time. In this case, the following action transitions to Stage 4.
Heavy Attack – Bitterfrost: Forclaimed SelfModifies the normal Heavy Attack when Whiteout Bitterfrost reaches maximum stacks. By holding Normal Attack, consumes STA and all 3 Bitterfrost stacks, dealing Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG) while gaining 1 Snowforged Blade. Applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe. If used during the aerial attack, Hiyuki lands before attacking.
Aerial Attack – Forclaimed SelfModifies Current Self aerial attack. Consumes STA to perform 3 aerial strikes, dealing Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). The 2nd and 3rd strikes apply 1 stack of Glacio Chafe. This combination is not interrupted for a short time by other skills (except Basic Attack – Iai). Holding Normal Attack during the aerial attack performs a diving attack.
Escape Counter – Forclaimed SelfModifies Current Self escape counter. After escaping, holding Normal Attack deals Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). Pressing again shortly after transitions to Basic Attack Stage 3.
Resonance Skill – Current SelfDeals Glacio DMG and restores 100 Dedication while enhancing the next Basic Attack Stage 3. This buff ends when Hiyuki is modified. After use, you can immediately perform Stage 3 by holding Normal Attack.
Frostblight: Jade CleaveCan be used in Forclaimed Self (on the ground) state. Gathers nearby enemies and deals Glacio DMG, removing Frostbind. Shares the same cooldown as Petalfall.
Frostblight: PetalfallCan be used in Forclaimed Self (in the air) state. Gathers nearby enemies and deals Glacio DMG, removing Frostbind. Shares the same cooldown as Jade Cleave.
Foreclaiming: Inward VisionCan be used after Frost Splinter is used. In Current Self state, activates Resonance Liberation to deal Glacio DMG, gains 3 Frostharden Iai, consumes all Dedication and Frostheart, transitions to Forclaimed Self state, and restores 50 Frostheart. Applies 4 stacks of Glacio Chafe. Does not consume Resonance Energy.
Foreclaiming: Blade LiberationCan be used in Forclaimed Self state. Tap to use quickly or hold to charge. During charging, Snowforged Blade stacks are consumed over time. Release triggers the attack. If none are consumed, the attack is automatically triggered after a delay. It also triggers automatically when all stacks are consumed. Each Snowforged Blade increases damage. Consumes all Dedication and Frostheart, ending Forclaimed Self.
Entry Skill – FrostedgeDeals Glacio DMG (counted as Resonance Liberation DMG) and applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe. In Current Self state, restores 200 Dedication and allows transition to Stage 3. In Forclaimed Self state, allows transition to Stage 2.
Inherent Skill – Fine SnowIf teammates apply Glacio Chafe or Havoc Bane, Hiyuki gains 1 stack of Snow Rust (max 3 stacks, once for each teammate). 1 stack: +30% Glacio Bite DMG and +40% Critical DMG. 2 stacks: Applying Glacio Chafe triggers an additional Glacio Bite hit (102 percent). 3 stacks: Glacio Bite DMG gains an additional +30%. Resets when team composition changes.
Inherent Skill – Ephemeral RealmAfter exiting combat or respawning, if Hiyuki stays out of combat for 4 seconds and has no Snowforged Blade, gains 1 stack.
Forte Circuit – Glacio BiteTransforms Glacio Chafe applied by teammates into Glacio Bite. Each new stack triggers Glacio Bite DMG according to current stack limits. Can affect frozen targets. Counts as both Glacio Chafe and damage type. If Inward Vision or Iai hits a target with ≥10 stacks, it triggers Frostbind by consuming 10 stacks. Entering combat clears Chafe; exiting removes all Glacio Bite if no converters remain.
Iai StanceIf Frostheart ≥100, certain actions (escaping after attacks or holding the skill after Frostblight) cause Hiyuki to reposition and enter Iai Stance (consumes STA). Can reposition behind enemies. Works in the air and resets aerial escapes. Ends when transitioning to teammates.
Basic Attack – Iai Iai Stance consumes 100 Frostheart by pressing Normal Attack and deals Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). It can chain when enough Frostheart is available. If hit during the attack, damage is negated and Hiyuki gains full damage reduction and immunity for a short time. Consuming 1 Frostharden Iai applies 3 stacks of Glacio Chafe and grants 1 Whiteout Bitterfrost.
