Xbox has been one of the leading console and PC gaming services that players trust. However, this trust has been shaken by rising Game Pass prices over the years. Fortunately, after the new executive Asha Sharma took over, a price reduction occurred. Now, following the Xbox Game Pass price cut, it is said that the service will receive a "Create Your Own Plan" feature that could further lower costs.

Xbox Game Pass Will Allow Players to Create Their Own Plans at More Affordable Prices

According to Jez Corden from Windows Central, Microsoft is working on a new Xbox Game Pass plan that allows users to select the features they want to include in their subscription. This is a long-term plan the company is considering to make the service more flexible and affordable for players.

The latest pricing for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has dropped from $29.99 per month to $22.99, while the top-tier plan includes new games available from day one, as well as additional subscriptions like Fortnite Crew, EA Play, and Ubisoft+ Classics.

However, the "create your own plan" model is expected to replace or work alongside fixed packages like XGP Essential, Premium, and Ultimate. On the other hand, the custom plan may also see some discounts, such as the exclusion of Xbox Cloud Gaming and Fortnite Crew subscriptions; thus, subscribers can include only the games they have access to from day one in their benefits.

In addition to the above, benefits related to World of Warcraft, Minecraft Realms subscriptions, or even more benefits related to Netflix are being discussed, along with the long-awaited Xbox Game Pass Family Plan. Several API leaks in the background indicate that two subscription tiers with the code names "Duet" and "Triton" are in active testing stages.

Although nothing is finalized yet, Xbox executive Asha Sharma notes that plans may change based on user feedback. With Xbox Game Pass prices finally dropping and the exclusion of Call of Duty games from day one, things may finally be looking up for Xbox fans. Or you might be waiting for another Project Helix announcement before switching to Xbox this year.
