Raid Battles have become one of the most exciting parts of Pokemon GO. Not only does it allow players to obtain rare Pokemon, but it also brings the community together. In the past few months, there have been rumors about a new raid feature that could enter the game. And now, recent leaks indicate a new Coordinated Raid feature being worked on in Pokemon GO, which offers a completely different approach from the raids we have seen so far.

Leaked Pokemon GO Coordinated Raids Are Coming, Multiple Trainers Needed to Defeat a Boss

According to the Pokemod Group, new raid layer data mining has been done from the Pokemon GO game files, and apparently, this is not your ordinary raid format. The leaked Pokemon GO Raids format is expected to be even harder than Elite Raids, meaning you will need a large group of players to defeat them.

Leaks also suggest that a new type of special attack will be coming to Pokemon GO, which will require players to perform coordinated attacks. So far, we know that coordinated attacks in the game can only be performed when the raid boss reaches low HP. To use this attack, you will need to keep your devices in the air along with other players involved in the battle.

Coordinated Raids will take a different approach to capturing Raid encounters. Instead of ordinary Premier Ball or Master Ball throws, the game is expected to switch to an automatic capture system. And apparently, you may still need to keep your device in the air to complete the capture.

Clearly, this resembles that old trailer we saw 10 years ago. But the question is: When will this Pokemon Go Coordinated Raid feature come to the game?

Players speculate that it could go live during a major Pokemon GO event, such as GO Fest or the 10th anniversary. Raids could also bring the debut of Mega Mewtwo, Paradox Pokemon, or Arceus.
